Statement of Faith

1. Ancestral Roots
Jakon Nete is rooted in the animist traditions and wisdom of Indigenous Amazonian ancestors.

2. Living Cosmos
We believe that all of creation is alive, conscious, and interconnected. The world is composed of flowing energy, known as níwe, organized into realms (nétebo) and interlinked by energetic pathways (kánobo). These connections sustain life, harmony, and balance throughout existence.

3. Jakón Néte
We honor the jakón néte as the life-giving, good essence of creation that flows within and around All, fosters thriving communities, and unites All in balance and reciprocity.

4. Ethical Living
We live with humility, respect, and reciprocity with the earth and in all relations. We recognize this as a sacred responsibility of integrity.

5. Continuity of Tradition
We hold the ongoing practice of ancestral wisdom as a sacred duty, stewarding these traditions across generations, ensuring their vitality and relevance for the future.

6. Sacred Practice of Samá
We affirm that samá—a monastic-style discipline of fasting, meditation, and spiritual communion—is a religious rite and foundational expression of our faith to enter into direct relationship with spiritual consciousness.

7. Worship and Study
We celebrate ceremony, ritual, prayer, devotional study, and song as essential expressions of our faith to cultivate well-being, insight, and deeper connection to the jakón néte.

Statement on Diversity and Inclusion

In the spirit of the jakón néte—the good essence flowing through all creation—we welcome people of all backgrounds, faith traditions, races, cultures, genders, and sexual orientations.
