The life‑giving essence of creation.
Dedicated to well-being, reciprocity with the Earth, and the continuation of ancestral Amazonian wisdom.
Reciprocity, an expression of gratitude
Jakon Nete is a community of practice shaped by reciprocity with the Earth.
Jakon Nete has grown through relationships with Shipibo-Konibo elders, people who steward the land, and cross-cultural ecological research. We bring Indigenous knowledge and Western science together around questions that matter now: how forests regenerate, how local communities can flourish in balanced ecosystems, and how the Amazon Rainforest can support living systems for future generations.
Reciprocity starts with something very human: when the heart opens, the impulse is to give. We practice it in how we care for one another: when forests and communities thrive together, young people learning beside elders, and integrated ways to make a living that go hand in hand with restoring the land and improving quality of life for all beings.
There are hard problems ahead. And joy comes naturally when we care for the Earth, for one another, and for what comes next.
